EXPLORI PROMISES BOOST IN ORGANISER RESEARCH
27-Oct-2011
Event industry website developer ASP Events has partnered with former Mash Media publishing director Mark Brewster to produce a new research engine for the global exhibition industry. Explori is an online software tool designed to provide clear, comparative analysis across event portfolio and improve global and national industry benchmarking. Brewster, who is heading up the new company behind explori as MD, claimed the online-based toolkit will speed up and streamline post-show research while delivering better quality data and deeper insights - key information for sales and marketing staff. Brewster said the research engine contains more than 300 expertly designed, exhibition-specific questions that enable organiser to make significant improvements and save time when creating surveys for visitors, exhibitors and pre-registered non attendees. Functionality includes year-to-year comparative data and double-filter cross-tab analysis. The engine also supports multiple languages. "Explori raises the bar in terms of creating a greater understanding and demonstrating the true value of events," Brewster said. "Importantly, we have kept the cost for using the software low, which is critical as more and more budgets are squeeze." The toolkit can also be used to conduct bespoke research and requires very little training, he continued. Among the early adopters of explori is show director of Clarion's DSEI exhibition Duncan Reid. "Explori is an important step forward for the industry," Reid said. "I believe it will not only make a difference at a show-to-show level, but with enough support from organisers it will help the exhibition business to stand its ground against other channels that have historically benefitted from much stronger data." The toolkit will be available on an annual licence model based on a fee per show per year starting from £475 plus VAT. The most sophisticated package is available for £775 plus VAT Our basic package outperforms all generic survey tools and costs just £475 + vat per year. Explori is available now.
