Our client is a new company with formidable exhibitions experience. They are launching their inaugural exhibition this year. Additionally, they are launching an event from the same portfolio in Manchester and have further launch ideas. They are recruiting for a Marketing Manager to join their friendly team and be part of this amazing growth story.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To work with the Group Event Director to plan the strategy and execute the marketing campaigns
  • To manage all aspects of the marketing plan ensuring you liaise with all departments, including P&L responsibility
  • To establish, set up and manage all aspects of media and association partnerships across the events
  • To work closely with the design department on all aspects of the advertising promotion for the events – including digital and in print pieces
  • To manage the event websites updating copy before, during and post events
  • To plan and execute the HTML campaigns to promote the events to our databases and partner databases
  • To ensure all aspects of the marketing campaigns are tracked and monitored and this is used for future planning
  • Work closely with the Group Event Director to produce a strong content strategy
  • To manage social media channels
  • Attend competitive events
  • To manage the PR agency
  • To manage delegate data and privacy issues
  • Manage web analytics to drive constant comparison and continuous improvements to our campaigns
  • Work across most digital marketing channels and focus on SEO/PPC/social media/affiliates across all channels
  • To manage any research undertaken at the event or post event
  • To be responsible for the Post event report – understanding the campaign in detail to assist future planning
  • Responsibility for events marketing budgets
  • Be responsible for planning and activating all social media activity surrounding an event
  • Produce a detailed marketing plan
  • Responsible for weekly Marketing reporting to the Group Event Director.

The candidate should have:

  • Events marketing experience
  • B2B marketing experience, preferably in paid for conferences
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication, particularly copywriting across digital platforms
  • Excellent use of social media and proven experience in integrating communication across all digital platforms
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft applications including Excel and Powerpoint
  • Prior knowledge of the advertising and media industry would be an asset
  • A creative approach to all aspects of your work is essential
  • Experience in marketing across digital platforms in essential and knowledge of ecommerce is preferable
  • Organised; ability to juggle multiple tasks whilst prioritising
  • Enthusiastic and hard-working individual
  • Proactive; able to anticipate needs and expectations ahead of time
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Creative and innovative approach.
